As bloggers, we have to care about this so we can give a better experience to our readers and visitors. I think it depends on everyone but it shouldn’t matter. I don’t think you can have too much or too few content but you should focus on not overloading your blog or website with ads. Remember that user experience is one of your main area of interest. As you can see, on Richer Or Not, I have ten posts on homepage which I think is respectable.

Here is Matt Cutts explaining the issue:

<g:plusone size="standard" count="" href="http://www.richerornot.com/blogging/why-every-blogger-should-read-weight-loss-blogs/"></g:plusone>

This is a guest post by John Smith who writes for Weight Loss Triumph, if you would like to write for Richer Or Not, check our Guest Posting Guidelines.

I have been blogging for years now, and within that period, I have seen countless articles and lists talking about the top blogs every blogger should read. The sad thing about this is that every list article I have read on blogging blogs end up featuring other blogs that talk about blogging.

Bloggers spend huge amount of hours in front of their computers every day, which can be very dangerous for their health, and as a result a lot of bloggers end up being obese. While I run a nutrisystem and medifast weight loss blog, I’m not trying to be bias in anyway. The reality is that reading weight loss blogs can contribute a lot more to your career as a blogger, and I will be giving you a few reasons why in this article.

1. Health is Strength

I’m a blogger and a freelance writer, and what this means is that I write a lot of articles every day. I spend countless hours in front of my computer writing, researching, reading emails and comments, and doing a lot more. The thing about all these hours spent in front of my computer is that they are spent sitting, and this ends up affecting me for the whole day.

I have realized that I become more powerful and focused to get more done when I exercise before starting the day, which is why I now make it a duty to be healthy before starting each day.

As a blogger, the healthier you are, the stronger you are, and the more money you are likely to make. Reading weight loss blogs can help you learn more tips on how to be more healthy and energetic, and as a result leads to you achieving more than average in a typical day.

2. Learn New Tips

The health tips most bloggers use is the same one people use in 2006, and very few of them really care about being up to date. Our environment changes every day, climatic conditions change, and everything changes in such a way that they affect our body and environment. Most weight loss bloggers are also health experts who spend a large portion of their day researching what is the latest health tip, and how it works. The great thing about most quality health bloggers is that they don’t just learn new tips; they also test it on themselves to see how it works and as a result report their findings to you. By reading weight loss blogs you won’t have to depend on hearsay to be healthy, instead, you will be able to learn from professionals who have adequate knowledge on the subject.

3. Stay Fit Everyday

Most weight loss blogs don’t just focus on losing weight, they focus on maintaining your weight loss, and as a result they share constant tips to help you stay fit. Most of the tips people use to lose weight can help others stay fit, and by reading weight loss blogs you will be able to learn these tips and stay healthier.

The more healthy and fit you are, the easier it becomes for you to think, and the more opportunity will come your way.

John believes in the importance of being healthy as a blogger, and as a result encourages other bloggers to educate themselves. He provides coupons and discounts for health products like Medifast and Nutrisystem. His most popular articles give nutrisystem coupon code and medifast promo codes.

Blogging is one of the most popular methods of making money online these days. Everyday thousands of new blogs are created, many of them by bloggers who are hoping to make it in the blogging world. Blogging can be one of the most profitable ways to make money online. Although it may seem like there is only one way to make money blogging, in reality there are so many ways you can make money as a blogger. Here are 5 ways to make money blogging.

Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money online. You can mix affiliate marketing and blogging and make real good money. Simply choose a few products related to the subject of your blog and start promoting them as an affiliate. Every time you make a sale, you get a commission. With affiliate marketing it can take some time to see results, but if you do put enough time and effort into it, the results are amazing.

Google Adsense

Google adsense is an easy way to make money with your blog. It takes only a few seconds to set it up. After registering with Google ad sense and being approved, you will be provided a simple code which you can place on your blog. Ad sense starts showing ads based on the content of your blog, relevant targeted ads. Every time someone click on one of those ads, you earn money.

Sell your own stuff
This is a no brainer. Set up a blog and start making money selling your products or offering your services to the public. Blogging is a very powerful way to get the word out. Use it to your advantage.

Write for other blogs

Blogging is time consuming and keeping a blog updated is a more time consuming task. Most bloggers are busy promoting their blogs and working on other aspects of blogging like SEO, link building and etc. They are willing to pay someone to write posts fro their blogs so that they can focus on doing other things while at the same time giving their readers fresh and quality content. You can use online forums dedicated to bloggers and webmaster to find bloggers who need your service

Pay per post blogging

An unusual way to make money blogging, is pay per post blogging. You get paid to write about a specific product or service. Unlike affiliate marketing or ad sense, you don’t have to make a sale or get clicks on ads to make money, you make money by writing about the product and publishing it, that’s it! It really is an easy way to make some money with your blog.

Although, there are some other methods to make money with blogs as well, most of them come down to the 5 category I mentioned. Take advantage of blogs and blogging popularity and use these 5 ways to make money with your blog.

<g:plusone size="standard" count="" href="http://www.richerornot.com/blogging/to-blog-professionally-or-to-blog-for-fun/"></g:plusone>

Everyday, thousands of new business blogs are appearing in the blogosphere. The competition is getting bigger but the real question is, should we blog for fun (hobby) or for profits (professionally). The answer is complex as it depends on you and your goals. I mean, if you want to blog as a hobby and want some entertainement then you can do it. You can blog about fashion, music, movies or anything you like. We all need some fun sometimes and blogging would provide you just that. It feels good to write sometimes and share our thoughts with a different community.

What are your goals and why would you blog at all? It depends on your but think about it before doing it. In this bad state of economy, I guess most people would want to blog for profits and that’s a new trend that we can notice. Still, life is so complex and hard that some people blog for fun or just transform their blog into a personal log where they update their audience about their own lives. Blogging professionally is no easy as you need to create a brand and try to design a logo when you start. You want to create an ‘ online business ‘ where you would have a very large audience. Blogging professionally is mainly try to blog as mean to give education to your readers. the profession is called ‘ Professional Blogger ‘. You are blogging to a large audience who is intereted in what you have to say. You can blog on several niches and not just on the ‘ Make Money Online ‘ niche which is a subject that most people blog about.

Take your blog to the next level and start writing real content that would educate people on the Internet. Another idea is to monetize a hobby blog if you decide to blog professionally. However, try to blog with a self-hosted WordPress blog and not with a blogspot blog. You can always migrate blogspot to WordPress but it’s a lot of work. Don’t waste your time and buy a domain and install a self-hosted WordPress blog where you would have more power and control.

Now what about blogs? There are millions of blogs in the blogosphere and sometimes, it’s hard to follow everything but most importantly, it’s hard to find a good domain name. How to find a domain name our blog? Well, let me suggest you 5 blog name generators.

1. Wordoid

The name is original but fitting as Wordoid combines multiple words to make a domain name most of the time. It can use different languages to give the perfect blog name (short). Short domains are good for branding. It can make awesome blog names using English, Spanish, French and more languages. You can also set the max domain length if you wish to get a short domain name for your blog.

2. Online Generator

This is kind of automated as you just need to click and it will generate names for you quickly. The first names this blog name generator service suggested me were, faxlax, statcane, etc. The words aren’t bad at all, they seem creative.

3. Gzzt

Gzzt comes with two options – Funky and Formal. You just have to choose one of them and click on generate name button. With each try, it will give you two blog titles and if you like them you can search for them on domain registration sites and see if they are available but for every tool, you should check on domain registrars if the word or domain is available at all.

4. Domain Name Soup

Domain Name Soup is a mixture of different tools all helping you in finding a good blog name. You have a lot of options and you can mix words and ,etc. you can search browse their typos directory and make specifications for your searches. There are a lot of features so I think that Domain Name Scoup is the ultimate blog name generator.

5. Net Substance

This is also an awesome tool as at Net Substance you have to enter a few keywords (related to the niche of blog names you are expecting). You then have to configure the percentage or number of vowels, consonants, prefixes, suffixes, maximum letters, etc. You can even turn on word slicing which joins two words into one. The final result is that you get a good blog name which can also be branded.

These 5 blog name generators have different style of functioning and we well worth spending time on. Find a good domain name for your blog because it’s important!

For example, I have a lot of posts on WordPress plugins and this make it seem like my blog is an article directory but it’s not! Some bloggers also accept guest posting and the topics of the posts are all the same.

Article directory is a place where you can find free content on different topic and many of them allow you to republish the content on your blog with proper credit to the author. You can also submit a post to article directory with your Keyword and link back to your site and single post which is a good way to generate backlinks.

Blogging isn’t a static website but a website that is filled with content and that tries to deliver a message to an audience. When you blog, you try to deliver a message and not just copy and paste content to try to make it an article directory. How about Guest blogging? Guest blogging is when you submit a post on a blog where you also get most of the benefits related to article directory but since your submission is on a niche blog, such backlinks are more useful and so is the traffic.

The problem lies in the fact that a lot of SEO experts and link builders are trying to post content on blogs as guest bloggers just for the sake of getting links. This is why I try to not let people insert the links of their blogs or websites as keywords. I try to convince guest posters to just have a normal link to their homepage and a non keyword anchor text. The problem is that if people are trying to blog just for links then it can be consireded as ‘ Paid links ‘ and this could lead to a Google penalty. Internet marketers and freelancers are often building links but the links aren’t revelant to the blog niche (while guest posting). This is a huge problem and as a blog owner, you should pay attention to this for sure.

In order to avoid this, you have to create strict guideline for guest posting. You have to specify what kind of backlinks do you offer and do you offer SEO keyword rich backlinks. SEO Keyword rich backlink is not an issue, if the domain is related to your niche

Well, Technorati.com is a popular blog search engine where searches are focuses primarily on the blogosphere.

I would say it is a good tool for avid blog readers and those with blogs. Readers can have a one stop search to find articles on their favorite topics. Technorati, which reach over 100 million users monthly so you can see the advantages if your blog is found there.

How Technorati Works:

Technorati for bloggers has a rating system that is based on linking behavior. It is called Technorati Authority

Technorati Authority basically measure a blogs ranking in the blogosphere.

Authority is decided based on a blog’s links and associated data over a certain period of time.

Blog’s that has more outside links and data pointing to blog will fare better on Technorati Rank.

Technorati Rank is how that individual blog compares to all sites that Technorati indexes.

Long story short, the more links to your site, the more popular your site…The higher your rank. Seems pretty simple.

Now how about you favourite my blog on Technorati?

If you’ve been blogging for a long time, you’ve probably noticed that your initial burst of inspiration, when everything was new and you had so many ideas for blog posts that you couldn’t keep up, has slowed down to a trickle. But, as they say, the show must go on, regardless of your level of inspiration. So how do we bloggers continue putting out content when we can’t come up with anything new? The secret is drawing from different sources to inspire you. Here a few easy ones:

1. Read poetry.

Although reading poetry is not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea, it is a great activity to immerse yourself in right before you begin writing for your blog. Even if your blog has nothing to do with poetry, the rhythm and flow of words inherent in poetry will subsequently get your own “flow” going. What’s more, poetry is less about concrete ideas and more about the association of ideas and things. Reading poetry thus primes your creativity in a way that is completely different from reading anything else.

2. Travel.

There’s nothing quite like removing yourself from your humdrum, predictable daily life like traveling. You don’t even have to go very far to reap the inspirational benefits of traveling. Taking a weekend camping trip with friends to your closest national park, or going on a road trip for a few days to a city you’ve never visited is a great way to be immersed in an environment with new sights and sounds. Although traveling won’t necessarily inspire you to write new material for your blog, experiencing something new in your life beyond your blog will definitely help invigorate your writing.

3. Interview someone completely different than you.

When we are uninspired, it is often because we are doing the same things and talking to the same people. One source of inspiration for your blog is to set up an interview with someone you admire but don’t necessarily know. The interviewee’s experiences may be tangentially related to your blog’s niche, thus giving you new material to put on your blog. Reaching out to other seasoned professionals and asking them about their lives and how they got to where you eventually want to be is a great way to renew interest in your blog.

Maintaining a blog over several years is completely different from any other writing form that you may be used to. Unlike a novel, a poem, or a magazine feature, it’s a continually evolving process with no end in sight. To continue writing for your blog, you must actively insert yourself into both your online and offline worlds for long-term success. To read more about inspiration and the role it plays in motivating us to accomplish our goals, check out this Harvard Business Journal article.
